FRANKFORT, Ky. (Jan. 27, 2014) – Leadership Kentucky, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and advancing current and emerging leaders in the Commonwealth, is headed in a new direction. For the first time in 15 years, the organization has a completely new look for its logo and marketing efforts that reflects its growing role in shaping Kentucky’s leaders. “Leadership Kentucky graduates have done – and continue to do – amazing things for the Commonwealth,” said Tim Rutledge, Leadership Kentucky 2013 Chair of the Board. “This new campaign is as much a tribute to their achievements as it is a symbol of our forward progress. We’re excited to see where this new direction takes us.” The brand update includes a new tagline and logo, as well as an upcoming advertising campaign, social media initiative and website redesign. Visually, the new work reflects a more progressive brand with simple fonts, bold photography and a clearly defined color palette. While the logo and tagline are currently the most noticeable changes, Rutledge explained that the rebranding is much more than that. “This wasn’t about just creating a new logo,” said Rutledge. “It was about taking a strategic look at Leadership Kentucky as a whole – at our mission, our programs and our core values. It was about developing a clear, cohesive brand position to ensure that those values are consistently communicated, and that all of our initiatives align with our commitment to shaping Kentucky’s future.” All elements of the new look focus on the idea of, “Improve Your State,” a tagline that alludes to Leadership Kentucky’s dedication to both personal and statewide advancement.
