Through visits to Keeneland, the State Capitol, Bluegrass Stockyards, and Toyota Production Engineering Manufacturing Center, the November 2018 LKY session was once again action-packed and thought-provoking. Class members gained a better understanding of our Commonwealth through discussions related to the economic impact of agriculture, legislative perspectives, history, advocacy, and technology. Some class members also participated in the KY Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame Dinner, a sampling session with the Kentucky Beverage Association, and a tour of Boonesboro Quarry. Class book discussion with Spalding University faculty on Thank You for Being Late highlighted the impact of accelerations on our work, culture, politics, families, and communities. It’s hard to believe we are near the end of our official class journey. Class members are excited about next month’s graduation festivities complete with the announcement of our LKY class representative and the winner of the Lisa Murrell Award.
